Our university is proud to be part of a new event—UNI-SI, the Festival of Slovenian Universities—which will take place on 16 and 17 January 2026 at the Ljubljana Exhibition Centre, in cooperation with all members of the Rectors' Conference of the Republic of Slovenia (RKRS).

UNI-SI provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our university’s study programmes within the broader context of Slovenia’s diverse academic landscape. At the same time, it allows us to offer guidance to prospective students, drawing on our extensive experience in supporting young people in their educational decisions.

The festival format was developed through close collaboration between university staff and student councils across all participating institutions, ensuring it is tailored to the real needs and expectations of young people.

Choosing a university study programme is a major life decision—and navigating the wide, high-quality selection of Slovenian higher education options can be overwhelming. With more than 400 study programmes offered by RKRS member universities, each with its own strengths, it’s important that students find the programme that best suits their needs, interests, and goals.

To make this easier, undergraduate study programmes have been grouped in a way that mirrors how people talk about them in everyday life. This categorisation, supported by a distinct visual identity using colours and shapes, helps students explore their options more easily. The visual concept was developed by a design working group from the three public universities—University of Ljubljana (UL), University of Maribor (UM), and University of Primorska (UP).

The programmes are divided into seven broad areas, each further broken down into sub-areas: Social Sciences / Natural SciencesHumanities Engineering and TechnologyMedicine and HealthBioengineering Arts.

You can find an overview of the festival at: https://www.festival-uni.si/. Updates about universities, academic fields, and individual study programmes will be shared regularly on the festival’s social media channels: Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. For additional information, please contact info@festival-uni.si.

All RKRS member universities are participating in the festival:
University of Ljubljana, University of Maribor, University of Primorska, University of Nova Gorica, University of Novo Mesto, New University, Alma Mater Europaea, and EMUNI (Euro-Mediterranean University).

The first edition of the festival is being organised by the University of Primorska, in cooperation with the University of Nova Gorica.
