(SI) Sodobna družba postaja vse bolj odvisna od kompleksnih sistemov. Poleg vse bolj kompleksnih vsakodnevnih potrošniških sistemov z računalniškimi zmogljivostmi (kot so na primer avtomobili in zabavna elektronika), industrija in raziskovalne ustanove snujejo in gradijo tudi vse bolj sofisticirane profesionalne naprave in orodja (kot je na primer medicinska oprema). Naše predhodne raziskave kažejo, da zlasti pri nalogah ki zahtevajo visoko stopnjo natančnosti in ki jih opravljamo preko video see-through sistemov, zakasnitev predstavlja veliko težavo. V predlaganem projektu načrtujemo podrobno raziskati vpliv zakasnitev sistema na uspešnost opravljanja nalog pri video see-through sistemih. (EN) Modern society is increasingly dependent on complex systems. In addition to increasingly complex everyday consumer systems with computing capabilities (such as cars and consumer electronics), industry and research institutions are designing and building increasingly sophisticated professional devices and tools (such as medical equipment). Our preliminary research shows that, especially for tasks requiring a high degree of precision and performed via video see-through systems, latency is a major problem. In the proposed project we plan to investigate in detail the impact of system latency on the performance of tasks in video see-through systems. |
