Opis

Description

(EN) Research topic: The project will focus on the interplay of selected topics in discrete mathematics involving graph theory, hypergraphs, and game theory. A graph is a combinatorial object consisting of a finite set of vertices and a set of undirected or directed edges connecting pairs of vertices. Graph theory has been developing rapidly in recent decades, mainly due to its many applications in the modern world, in areas as diverse as Computer Science, Social Sciences, Biology, Logistics, etc. The concept of hypergraph generalizes the concept of a graph in the sense that edges may be formed by arbitrary sets of vertices. Game theory is often used to analyze economical models We are going to generalize the ideas behind these algorithms to the mean-payoff games. The ultimate goal is to develop new fast algorithms for mean-payoff games.
