The rector of UP, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar, participated in one of the key highlights of the event – a panel discussion titled »How do we respond to the increased need for personnel in the academic sphere«. Besides our rector, also Prof. Dr. Zdravko Kačič (rector of UM), Prof. Dr. Gregor Majdič (rector of UL), Duša Marjetič (Head of the Higher Education Sector at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sport) and Dr. Darja Ferčej Temeljotov (Strategic Programs at Lek d.d.) contributed to the discussion.

As part of the summit LEK'S RESEARCHERS' DAY showcased top achievements, innovations, and best practices from Lek and other research institutions. The theme of this year's sixth Researcher's day was biopharmaceuticals (related to the topic of biological drugs). As part of this programme, a lecture was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Jure Pražnikar from the Department of Applied Natural Sciences at UP FAMNIT, who spoke on »Graphs of 3D Protein Structures«.

The summit served as a platform for fostering collaboration and innovation in the field of biotechnology, reinforcing Slovenia's commitment to advancing scientific research and development.

The event was part of a project co-financed by the public tender to support activities of knowledge transfer offices (JR KTO), with additional funding from the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
