The University of Primorska awards the following recognitions and honors to employees, students and individuals:
- Title “Honorary Doctor of the University of Primorska”;
- Title “Honorary Senator of the University of Primorska”;
- Title “Professor Emeritus of the University of Primorska”;
- Solemn certificate of the University of Primorska;
- Golden Plaque of the University of Primorska;
- Award for scientific excellence of the University of Primorska;
- Award for pedagogical excellence of the University of Primorska;
- Srečko Kosovel Award for students of the University of Primorska;
- Recognition of the University of Primorska for students of the University of Primorska.
According to Article 5 of the Rules on recognitions and awards of the University of Primorska (No.: 002-37/24 dated December 18, 2024; Rules), the deadlines for submitting proposals for recognitions and awards are as follows:
- For points 1 – 5 and 7 – 9 from of Article 2 of the Rules the proposals must be submitted to the Commission no later than November 30, 2026;
- For point 6 of Article 2 of the Rules the proposals must be submitted to the Commission no later than January 10, 2027.
The award is decided by the University Senate, based on the proposal of the Commission for Recognitions and Awards of the University of Primorska, which leads the process of selection and preparation of proposals for the awarding of recognitions and prizes.
